Park Play is open on Monday to Thursday each week from 9:30am – 12:30pm.
Christmas Party & Disco
Join us on Monday 18th December for our Christmas Disco (suitable for children up to 10 years old). Each session will include a visit from Santa, a Christmas themed disco, competition for best Christmas Jumper, a lunch buffet & games.
Due to our insurance we have to limit the number of people in our hall, as such we would ask that only one parent/guardian accompany their group into the hall.
Session 1 – 11am – 1pm (Buffet Lunch served 12.30 pm – 1pm)
Session 2 – 1.30pm – 3.30pm (Buffet Lunch served 1.30pm – 2pm)
Please book early to avoid disappointment.
Information about Park Play and Café
Heart of the Park Café & Park Play opened in July 2019 in Leigh Park Community Centre. With the support of Community First, the Positive Pathways team and funding from the Big Lottery Fund, it has created a friendly, welcoming space to gather and meet new friends.
We have a menu offering barista coffee, a range of sandwiches and baguettes, homemade cakes and much more. The Café and Park Play offers free Wi-Fi. Most of the volunteers in our kitchen were originally Positive Pathways team members. They are supervised and trained by our kitchen supervisor, Clare. Clare teaches the volunteers skills such as customer service, money handling and safe food preparation.
Park Play includes soft mats for young children to play and toys such as a selection of ride along toys, tool workstation, a toy kitchen and much more. All of this is located in our Main Hall, with the Heart of the Park kitchen conveniently beside it.
